About Nancy
Nancy Plass has been creating art practically all her
life. From a young age, she discovered an ability to capture
the beauty she saw in her surroundings. Her artistic
expressions in the early years were mostly pencil or pen &
ink drawings, but they have evolved into highly detailed
watercolor paintings. Her subject matter tends to be about
nature. Whether it’s the play of light on a leaf or the way
the landscape is reflected in the river, she strives to
capture the subtle colors and shapes that might be
overlooked.
Nancy has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Cedar Crest
College, in Allentown, PA, and a Master of Arts degree in
Illustration from Marywood University. Her paintings are in
galleries such as The Golden Door Gallery in New Hope, Pa,
as well as numerous private collections. Her illustrations
can be found in several publications, like The Herb
Quarterly magazine. She has taught drawing and painting at
Northampton Community College, as well as private lessons.
“I find it very rewarding to nurture the love of creating .
There is something exciting about taking a blank piece of
paper and through using shape and color, creating the
illusion that there is something there.”
Commissions
You can commission Nancy to paint a portrait of your
home, including all the details you wish to include, and
leave out those details you don’t want. She can also paint
your favorite place such as a park or waterfall, or perhaps
your garden, or your wedding bouquet.
